Uncoverupable.
Yep, Microsoft Word definitely drew a red line under that one. That’s my new word for this week, and I really like it. No, I didn’t get it from George W. Bush (remember “they misunderestimated me”?). It did come from a talk radio host, though, and I believe he was commenting on the unusual fact that members of the very liberal press have weighed in on what a travesty certain rogue members of the US Department of Justice perpetrated on General Michael Flynn, resulting in what now appears to be an unjust conviction for lying to the FBI. What was done by those agents “must have been uncoverupable.”
Sometimes it takes a great deal of effort not to get caught up in trying to straighten out all the crookedness of modern politics, when so many convincing sources present so many different versions of the same events. You and I have a much higher purpose than that. I am thankful for honest politicians, but I fear for them, and pray for them daily (1 Timothy 2:2).
My new word reminds me of the warning we are given near the end of Hebrews chapter 4, just after the writer reminds us of the importance of the living and active word of God. He warns us, And no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (vs.13). This dovetails perfectly with what the wise man said in Ecclesiastes 12:14, For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.
No matter if it is Washington political shenanigans or just plain old personal sinfulness… It’s uncoverupable!
